About

Built by hosts, for hosts.

One day, an owner in Coachella was paying a $400/month gas bill so guests could splash for ten minutes. Somebody had to write the thermostat that finally split the bill. So we did.

The story

From four properties to four hundred.

pool·heater started as a side project inside Pomello, our property-management console for short-term rentals. We built it because every owner we talked to had the same story: pool heat is a four-figure line item nobody can stomach eating, and there was no clean way to charge for it.

We shipped the first version in a weekend. Three months later, owners across the country were asking for it as a standalone product. So we made one — same engine, its own front door.

How we build

Four principles. No emojis.

Operator-grade
Hosts run a portfolio, not a hobby. Every screen is dense, terse, and built for someone who's already managing thirty other things today.
Privilege on the server
If a privilege check could be tampered with from the URL, we don't trust it. Every paid/read-only/temp-cap decision happens server-side, every time.
No surprise hardware
If your pool talks to iAqualink, we talk to your pool. We will never ship you a hub with a PCB that needs a Phillips #2 and a YouTube tutorial.
Boring on purpose
We don't bounce. We don't gradient. We don't add streaks. Numbers are tabular, hover states are subtle, and the dial is the only thing that animates.
Built on Pomello

One product family. One source of truth.

pool·heater is a standalone front door for the pool-heating part of pomello.app — our broader operations console. Same database, same API, same uptime. Buy them separately, they merge cleanly.
